The Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art is set to host the 21st annual edition of its popular Quest for the West Art Show and Sale, which features an array of artworks inspired by the people and history of the American West. An impressive group of artists are making their Quest debut: Kevin Chupik, Maeve Eichelberger, Danny Galieote, Angie Haskell, Leon Loughridge, Cody Oldham, Pahponee, Marlin Rotach, Nelson Tucker, and Yun Wei.

Advance reservations are required for the opening weekend (September 11–12), when collector-patrons will enjoy many opportunities to interact with the 50 artists who have created the 200 works on view. The weekend kicks off on September 11 with a miniature art sale and reception. Many Quest artists create smaller works appealing to collectors who seek smaller pieces at lower price points.

Buyers can take those purchases home that evening. The next day, attendees participate in a fixed-price, luck-of-the-draw sale. This is not an auction; instead, a bidder whose name is drawn gets the first right to purchase a particular work. If the bidder passes, the next person whose ballot is drawn has the opportunity to buy. The day will culminate with a banquet and the exciting announcement of the Harrison Eiteljorg Purchase Award winner.

Quest artworks will remain on view for the public to enjoy from September 13 through October 11 before the paintings and sculptures are shipped to their lucky new owners.

Also on view through September 27 is a show featuring whimsical wildlife sculptures by longtime Quest artist Tim Cherry, who received last year’s Quest Artist of Distinction award.
