The Steamboat Art Museum (SAM) is poised to kick-off the holiday season with a honoring of the great Len Chmiel.
 
Opening on December 4, “Len Chmiel: A Retrospective” will honor one of America’s most accomplished painters at the Steamboat Art Museum in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.  As exciting, patrons will have their chance to meet the artist on Saturday December 5, when a “Night at the Museum” dinner will take place between 6 and 9 P.M.  Tickets to the dinner are still available for $75. 
 
“Len Chmiel: A Retrospective” will hang through April 9.

Andrew Webster is the former Editor of Fine Art Today and worked as an editorial and creative marketing assistant for Streamline Publishing. Andrew graduated from The University of North Carolina at Asheville with a B.A. in Art History and Ceramics. He then moved on to the University of Oregon, where he completed an M.A. in Art History. Studying under scholar Kathleen Nicholson, he completed a thesis project that investigated the peculiar practice of embedded self-portraiture within Christian imagery during the 15th and early 16th centuries in Italy.
