It’s May, and graduation season, which means a fresh crop of newly trained artists are ready to enter the art world. By one of the nation’s top ateliers, collectors may be interested in this end-of-year student exhibition.

Located in New York City, the Grand Central Atelier (GCA) is widely considered one of the nation’s top ateliers. As a result, each year galleries and collectors are eager to catch a glimpse of the newly trained artists as they emerge from the intense program.

In 2016, that opportunity is just around the corner. The GCA will mount its end-of-the-year student exhibition on May 20 during the LIC Arts Open in New York City. Walls and pedestals will be filled with the projects students have completed since September in portrait, figure, cast, still life, and sculpture. Accompanying the exhibition are a number of other events, including a violin performance by Michelle Ross. Studios will also be open to the public, allowing visitors a unique opportunity to view the spaces where their favorite artworks were created. All of the events are free as well.
