Johanne Mangi: Sighthounds are fascinating to me and I welcome opportunities to see them in person as well as to paint them. I was taken by the emotion of this dog. Intense, anxious, trusting, soulful, complicated. Rescue dogs drag their past lives along with them while incorporating traits and emotions of new owners. Capturing all of that is the challenge.
